I’ This is a self-supported, southbound JOGLE, covering approximately 1,100 miles. My route blends road, trail, and national paths — with some classic long-distance routes along the way, including the West Highland Way in Scotland.
One unique twist? I’ll be taking a short break from running to hop on a bike for a day — more on that below.
The journey begins at the far north of mainland Britain, in John o’ Groats. From there, I’ll head south-west through the wilds of the Highlands.
Crossing the border, I’ll continue south through England, following a varied mix of terrain.
Before reaching the south-west, I’ll be making a planned stop at Thruxton Race Circuit to take part in the Regain Summer Cycling Challenge — a fundraising event for Regain Sports Charity, which supports tetraplegic athletes.

After Thruxton, it’s back on foot for the final stretch through the West Country.
It all wraps up at Land’s End, the rugged south-western tip of England. After weeks on the move, reaching that marker will be an unforgettable moment — the finish line of a journey measured in thousands of footsteps.
