On May 20th, Nick Peksa will embark on an epic challenge, running 870 miles from Land’s End to John o’Groats in just one month.
His journey begins on May 19th, flying from Heathrow to Aberdeen, then on to Wick, before taking his first steps on this gruelling adventure.
Rosey Gregory, a talented horse rider, was just 19 years old when she broke her neck in a horse-riding accident. Rosey was thrown from a horse that subsequently slipped and fell onto her, breaking her neck.
Rosey suffered irrevocable damage to her C5 spinal cord which required an emergency lifesaving vertebrae rebuild whilst she was in a coma, then subsequently undergoing a
tracheostomy.
Regain has been able to support Rosey on her road to recovery by providing her with some e-motion wheels, to help give her more independence.
Nick is aiming to raise £6,000 with Regain to fund an electric wheelchair, which will enable Rosey to live a more independent life.
Every step, every mile, every blister will be in aid of Regain, the only charity dedicated to supporting tetraplegics. People who have suffered life-changing spinal cord injuries through sport.
